Hi Ailsa & Jenni,
All went well yesterday. Got to the hospital for 11am and was all finished for 3.30pm same routine as 1st infusion, steriod and anti-histimine 1st infusion then when drug arrives (which they order as soon as you arrive on ward) that is set up and you just lie back and relax. which I tend to do I could barely keep my eyes open!! mind you didn't sleep very well night before and did have busy weekend. I was saying to my sis on way there for some unknown reason I felt more nervous than first time!! but no need to be the nurses are really nice and because they wern't very busy had time to chat and answer any questions. lunch came just after 12 again it was soup, sandwich and rice pudd or ice cream. the time seemed to pass quite quick. good if you can doze off most the time!!
Hubby was quite surprised I was making tea when he came home from work. he expected me to be lay on sofa. I went to bed about 11pm but just couldn't sleep, so after tossing and turning got up at 1am and did a few jobs watched a couple of recorded progs and I'm still wide awake now at 11am. very slight swelling in hands but no pain. Feels very unusual hope it carries on like this but with some sleep at some point. Nurse said I may feel achy in next few days. I did tell her I felt quite rough last thurs got that fluey feeling and felt like I had hit a brick wall thought it was probably the steroid wearing off. that lasted till sat, but i did rest up cos I knew i would be having busy time over weekend. well thats all for now. I'll let you know again soon how I'm getting on.
